Series 1000 Optimum Posturo-Pedic Positioning chairs offer a nearly limitless range of adjustments that make proper resident positioning easier.  The tilt-in-space design features an adjustable seat depth and independently operated adjustable elevating leg rest with adjustable foot support.  Even the armrests are height adjustable for a perfect fit.  An adjustable reclining back accepts a variety of trunk and head positioning options.  Drop-arms and a fold down backrest facilitate safer lateral transfers and protect the caregiver and resident from costly injuries.

• Heavy gauge unitized welded steel frame finished in aesthetically textured copper tone powder coat paint
• Five-inch swivel wheels with rear swivel-lock brakes and 1 directional steering wheel in front
• Comfortable cushions using best quality High Resiliency foams upholstered in contract grade leatherette or Crypton™.  (COM also available).  Meets CA 117.  CA 133 available
• Adjustable height drop-arms feature comfortable, yet highly durable molded polyurethane armrests
• Adjustable seat depth for proper positioning and an ideal fit
• Chair easily tilts to different angles with the aid of an adjustable gas cylinder
• Adjustable gas cylinder assisted recline angle.  Backrest features lumbar support and fold-down upper back section for improved transfers, access, repositioning, and resident care

Seat

• Seat depth adjusts effortlessly from 15” to 19” (38 to 48cm), even when the chair is occupied
• Gas cylinder assisted tilt angle makes adjustments easier

Backrest

• Upper back section folds down and locks, providing better access for transfers, repositioning, lifter sling placement and resident care
• Lower back cushion supports resident’s lumbar area
• Gas cylinder assisted adjustable recline.

Armrest

• Arms drop to create uninterrupted surface for lateral transfers
• Armrest height adjusts from 0” to 11” (0 to 28cm) for proper positioning

• Footrest extends on self-lubricating sliding mechanism

Wheels

• Four healthcare grade swivel casters make maneuvering and transport easy
• Five-inch (12.5 cm) thread-guard ball-bearing swivel front wheels with steering-lock for straight steering
• Five-inch (12.5 cm) thread-guard Total-Lock Swivel rear wheels positively secure the chair for safer transfers
